MODEL: DCFG

DASCO’s Granular Activated Carbon Filters (DCFG) are highly efficient, carbon-filled filters that provide low air resistance and a very high capacity for gas-phase filtration. They are primarily designed to remove light general gases, particulates, odors, and gaseous pollutants, even when these exist in high concentrations.

Description

In the HVAC industry, DASCO’s carbon filters are a major filtration component, added as an additional stage to eliminate gases, vapors, and other chemical pollutants that can adversely affect human health. Crucially, standard particulate filters cannot remove contaminants as small as gas molecules. For applications with low concentrations of vapors and gases, adsorption with activated carbon is the preferred process. For higher concentrations, chemisorption presents another effective choice for the chemical filtration process.Consequently, DASCO’s carbon filters are widely used in domestic, commercial, and industrial settings to control undesirable gases, vapors, odors, and fumes.

Specifications

DASCO Granular Activated Carbon Filters (DCFG) are constructed from heavy-duty extruded aluminum profiles with a mill finish. The corners are mechanically riveted for maximum strength. The filter media consists of granules of activated carbon. This media is enclosed within a robust, multi-layer assembly: it is held between corrugated galvanized expanded steel sheets and original synthetic impregnated activated carbon pads, all covered by a steel mesh. This entire assembly is finally encased in high-quality perforated aluminum sheets. This rigid construction ensures high-quality performance, prevents carbon dust escape, and guarantees uniform air distribution across the entire filter area.
